1979 Trans Am
![]() Just to give you a brief description on this Trans Am. It is a 1979 Trans Am with 127,000 Miles. It has the 6.6 Liter Olds 403 engine that has been rebuilt and upgraded. It is the 403 automatic without the WS6 handling package. This is not a show car, but an excellent daily driver. All of the major items are done and can be driven anywhere as is. The car is a very solid car and runs great. It needs a little cosmetic fixes, but that is it..
Exterior:
The exterior of the car is in good shape and with has recently been painted and all of the new decals applied with all of the Special Edition stripping. The car is a very solid and straight car and would be a great car for those weekend cruises or drives through the country. There are no dents or dings, or any rust on the car. This cart will turn heads when you are cruising around in it. Now this car is not perfect, but it is also not represented that way. This is however a great Saturday Night car show cruiser or even a daily driver. It was driven to the Trans Am Nations in Ohio from Maryland which was about 1,100 miles round trip and didn't miss a beat. It was also driven to another show in October which was another 800 miles. So again, you can drive this car anywhere.
Interior:
The interior of the car is the tan deluxe vinyl and is in great shape. The seats covers were replaced a few years back and so was the carpeting. There are no cracks in the dash or any of the rest of the interior. As you can see from the photos, the interior is in great condition. The interior is pretty much in its original appearance, meaning that even though the outside was converted to look like a Special Edition, the interior still sports the regular color combo. I can turn this into a Special Edition clone on the inside as well for an extra cost if you are interested. I can get all of the gold appointments for the inside and turn the dash gold as well. The interior does need new door panels, but they are ok as is. There is a Pioneer 4 speaker CD stereo system installed as well as a 40 channel CB radio which was all done professionally. Everything works on the inside, even the clock and the power trunk release.
Options:
All of the mechanical options work and function like the should. All of the lights, brake lights, and turn signals work with no malfunctioning gauges. This car is equipped with the Olds 403 6.6 liter engine, but has had some modification done to the engine.
