Here is a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am Special Edition "Look-a-Like" with the Pontiac 400 and Automatic Transmission. Just to Clarify again, this is a Special Edition clone and not a True Special Edition Trans Am. This car has 116,273 Miles on the body, but has had a total restoration done to it only 400 miles ago. Everything on this car was rebuilt and is in new condition. Just to give you a brief description on this 1978 Trans Am. It has the Pontiac 400 that was totaly rebuilt and new parts installed. The car has a different cam installed and also headers and true dual exhaust. This car sounds AWESOME rolling down the open highway and even at idle. This car was restored to factory specs and you can feel safe in this car driving it from coast to coast to tour the US. This car has Smokey and the Bandit written all over it. This car comes fully loaded with Power Windows, Power locks, and Rear Defogger. I also have the Original Build Sheet for this car as well.

EXTERIOR: The exterior of this car is in excellent condition. The paint and all of the decals are new as of a few months ago and still looks like new. All of the correct GM Decals in the "German Style" lettering and striping is there just like a true Special Edition Trans Am. This car underwent a full restoration just two months ago. The underside, trunk, and engine of this car looks as good as the exterior. Even the rims have been professionally restored. This is a Y81 Special Edition Trans Am just like Burt Reynolds drove back in 1977 minus the T-tops. The Bandit would be proud to drive around in this excellent example.

ENGINE: This Trans Am is equipped with the Pontiac 400. The engine has been rebuilt this from the ground up. He replaced all of the interior parts with new so you can rest asured this car runs just like it did when it left the factory floor but better. Infact, the engine will out perform any original W72 Trans Am that is out there. This Trans Am with the Pontiac 400 puts out a good amount of horsepower. The car is also equipped with the automatic transmission. The engine shines again just as good as the exterior of this car. The car is also fully loaded with power windows, power locks, rear defogger. All of the gauges are functioning except for the clock. The underside of the car is in great shape for the car being 27 years old.

INTERIOR: The Interior of this car is also in excellent condition. The front and rear seat have no tears or rips or fading to them The door panels are in excellent condition with no tears or rips in them either. The dash in great shape with no cracks to it. All of the side panels and trim are in excellent condition as well as the center console and glovebox lid. The headliner has been replaced with new as well as the carpeting. There is an aftermaket radio installed, but I can get you an original radio if you want it. All of the weatherstripping is in excellent condition. This car also comes with the original build sheet.
