Here is a perfect example of a 1978 Trans Am. This car has been exceptionally cared for all of its life. Every inch of this car is in immaculate condition from the exterior paint, all decals, interior, engine, undercarriage...... Everything is in pristine condition. The car starts with ease and runs perfectly. There is plenty of power put out by the Pontiac 400 Engine (L78, engine code YA). Everything about the car from the acceleration to the shifting of the automatic transmission to the stopping power is smooth and in excellent mechanical condition. This car is the epitome of American Muscle. You will feel like the "King of the Road" when you are cruising down the winding country roads. Exterior:

The exterior of this car is in MINT condition. There are no scratches, no spider-webbing of the front and rear bumpers, no fading, no dents, nicks or other imperfections. The exterior paint is in showroom condition. The decals are all bright with no fading or bubbling. Every flare, window trim, and spoiler is in showroom condition. The headlight grilles are in exceptional shape as is all of the exterior emblems. The finish on this car is truly a marvel to look at. Every line of this car matches up and is straight as can be. Interior:

The interior is also in showroom condition. The seats have no rips or tears, no wear marks or signs of fading. The interior trim such as the door panels and rear seat arm rests are in excellent shape with no scratches or cracks. The dash has no cracks or sun fading on it as does the center console. Every turn signal, oil, temp, tach, and speedometer gauge works including the clock. The original radio with 8-Track is installed and works like it did when it was new. The steering wheel and dash bezel are all in excellent condition. It also has the original rear deck with speaker grilles. Are you starting to see a pattern here.... Everything in this car is in exceptional shape. All of the cars weather-stripping is also in excellent condition.

Engine and Undercarriage:

This Trans Am is equipped with the L78 Pontiac 400. It was rated at 185hp and 325ftlbs of torque. Now of course those were ratings given to the EPA so we all know this engine kicks out more than that. This car is also equipped with all of the extras like Air Conditioning. It has the 2.56 rear gears which aren't great for street racing, but are perfect for highway and back road cruising. I brought this car back myself and drove it about 150 miles. It had a full tank when I left and when I arrived at my destination 150 miles later, I had a little less than 3/4 of a tank. So with that 2.56 rear end, you can see how cruising on the highway and back roads is not going to break the bank on gas. The undercarriage of this Trans Am has been undercoated for protection. As you can see from the photos below, you will see that there is no signs of rust and every nut, bolt, shackle, and spring is in showroom condition. Every inch of this cars engine compartment and underside is so clean you would think you are looking back at the first Trans Am to roll of the line in 1978.

Options:

This Trans Am comes loaded with all of the goodies including Power Windows, Power Locks, Trunk Light, Courtesy Lamp, Air Conditioning, Fisher T-tops, and Tilt wheel. Every options works like it did when it was new. There was $200 spent on the radio alone to get it back to factory condition. The radio and 8-Tack work like new.
