This is 1978 Trans Am with the 6.6 litre 403 Olds Engine, AT, AC,PW, T-tops. California rust free car. Body is in great shape,paint is in great condition as well as the decals,runs great doesn't smoke or knock. I just spent over $1,000 in the engine alone to get the car running in tip-top shape. The car has great acceleration. The transmission shifts good doesn't slip. The floor pans and trunk are all rust free. For all of you who wanted a Smokey and the Bandit look-a-like car.... here it is. Most of the work (the hard work anyway) has been done to the car. The exterior is in great shape and the engine and transmission work great. The interior of the car needs some work to get it in showcar condition. The back seats are in good shape as well as the door panels and center console. The rear seat trim and arm rests are also in good condition. The items that need replaced are the carpet (which I will include and new carpet with the purchase of this car), the dash has two cracks in it, the headliner has been removed so a new headliner is needed as well as T-Top trim. The back dash needs to be replaced, but that is only $20 to replace. The front seats need to be recovered, but the rear seats can be left alone. So, if you spend on the interior $300 for dash, $225 for seats, $125 for trim, $150 for headliner, $20 for rear deck, $40 for a new horn button, for a total of $860.00, then you will have a complete Smokey and the Bandit look-a-like Trans Am.
