Exterior:

Here is a 1978 Trans Am with 119,171 Miles. The car was recently repainted and new decals applied back in 2002. So, the exterior of the car is in perfect condition. The paint is flawless including the front and rear bumpers which usually have the spider-webbing effect because of being made of plastic. The decals are al in perfect shape as you would expect for a car that was repainted less than 2 years ago. The hood scoop is also uncut. All of the exterior trim is in perfect condition as well as the spoilers and wheel flares. There is no rust anywhere on the car nor has there even been any rust. You can see from the photos below of the exterior and the underside of the car that it is in excellent shape. The tires are brand new BF Goodrich Radial T/A and have 99.9% tread remaining. The snowflake rims are in great shape for being 26 years old.

Interior:

The interior of the car has many new parts as well. In 2004 the headliner was replaced with a new one, the front seats were recovered with original material, the rear seats are stil original because they are still in excellent shape. There are no cracks in the dash or the center console and console lid. Thye door panels are in great shape as is the door hinges. The steering wheel is original, but the horn button and collar were replaced with new parts. The carpet is in excellent shape with no tears or fading at all. It has the original AM/FM Radio that still works great and is also an 8-Track player. All of the gauges are working as well as all of the power windows and power locks. The rear deck lid (where the speakers are located) was replaced due to scratches. The weather strips around the windows were also replaced due to their age.

Mechanical:

This Trans Am runs and rides like it has only 19,000 miles on it. The engine starts and runs with ease. It does not burn any oil nor does it have any leaks. The blower motor was recently replaced as well as the air conditioning so that blows cold air. All of the bushings were replaced back in 1998 so the car rides like it is on a cushion of air. For having 119,000 miles on the car I was REALLY impressed with the way that this car rides. It rides just as nice as the one we just sold that had only 31,000 original miles on it. As mentioned before, all of the mechanical options work on the car like power windows, power locks, AM/FM radio, all lights and turn signals and gauges (except clock). As always, everything functions like it should and there will be nothing needed to this car to drive it home and also to the local car shows.
